Scottsdale Family Portraits

Saturday, January 5th, 2013

A cold, but sunny day at DC Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. With parents in town, we spent an enjoyable time capturing the little ones and the whole family. Here are a few favorites from this bunch of cuties.

A New Year

Saturday, January 5th, 2013

A summer off of blogging led into the fall, which brought our family into a new home and move and somehow here it is a new year. I enjoy sharing new photos and am back for the new year. Wishing you and your family the happiest of times and shining moments.

My 2013 goal:  Capture, edit and print our own family moments and keep our life simple!

A New Beginning

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

What an exciting way to start the new year. A sweet baby boy and a new family. I love the new year, it is just like a baby…full of hope, love, wonder and excitement. This little guy was too sweet and is just a bundle of cuteness.

Desert Beauty

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

A little rain and clouds for the thirsty desert, a great day for a photo shoot. Enjoy a few shots of this desert rose, so sweet and pretty, just waiting for this day to come.

UNITY

I love this idea that the family wanted to do, inspired by a Taylor Swift photograph.  Now I need to do this with my family, but our name is way too long!

Daddy’s Arms

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

Daddy holds me up when waves come crashing by,

In his arms I am safe and loved,

In my daddy’s arms I belong,

Nowhere else I can think of.

This little one almost lost it’s little bird life as my husband was thinning out a tree in our backyard.  The branch would never have been cut if we had seen the nest.  It must be scary as your home crashes to the ground. Luckily, my husband caught the little bird’s eyes with his as he picked up the fallen branch to throw away.  We placed the branch up high on a table and watched for many days. She never left the nest and the beautiful thing was as another bird came back (I am guessing the “he”), he kept circling where the branch used to be for quite sometime. Buzzing all around. Finally, he found his partner and chirped away.  We never got to see the eggs hatch as one morning they packed up and found a better suited home, most likely in a tree in a different yard.
